Data used to provide downloads

A submitted public post URL is normalized to its post ID and sent to X's public embed endpoint and, when necessary, the third-party FxEmbed API. Thumbnails can load directly from X's media domains, which exposes your IP and browser information to those providers. Video previews and downloads stream through Cloudflare. Downloading streams the video through Cloudflare; files are not permanently stored by this application.

Limits and usage

The application derives a salted IP fingerprint for rate limiting. Raw IP addresses are not stored in our application tables. Cloudflare and upstream providers may process connection data under their own policies. Rate-limit counters expire after their window; application usage counters have a 30-day expiry. Expired rows are removed during later application requests, so records may remain until cleanup runs. Download ticket URLs are encrypted, expire after 15 minutes, and should be kept private. Expired counters are removed during periodic application requests.

Accounts and support

If you register, we store your email, display name, password hash, sessions, API-key hashes and prefixes, and support tickets you submit. Full API keys are shown once and not stored in recoverable form. Account and ticket data remain until deleted or no longer required to provide support. Request account or ticket deletion through support.

Cookies and analytics

Essential session cookies support optional accounts. Language preferences may be stored in the browser. No third-party analytics or advertising provider is configured in this launch. If optional tracking is introduced, the privacy notice and applicable consent controls must be updated before activation.

Providers and requests

Hosting and database: Cloudflare Workers and D1. Metadata fallback: FxEmbed, an independent third-party project, not X's official API. Their processing and availability are outside our control. Do not submit private links, credentials, or material you are not authorized to access.
