Remote MCP for X video downloads

Endpoint

Transport: Streamable HTTP, stateless JSON responses. Authentication: optional Bearer API key. GET / SSE and OAuth discovery are not provided. Use a client that supports remote Streamable HTTP and, for authenticated use, custom Bearer headers.

Remove headers for anonymous use. A public endpoint is not automatically available in ChatGPT; the user must connect it in a compatible client. Clients requiring OAuth may not support this release.

Tool: resolve_x_video

Input: {"url":"https://x.com/USERNAME/status/POST_ID"} with an actual public post URL.

Returns structuredContent and a JSON text result with the same video data as the HTTP API. Tool errors set isError: true. The tool resolves metadata and creates temporary download links; it does not write to local disk or claim a download completed.

Suggested agent workflow

1. Obtain the exact post URL from the user.
2. Call resolve_x_video.
3. Show the available videos and source qualities.
4. Use the chosen download_url to save via the client's own file tools when authorized, or return the link to the user.
5. Resolve again on expiry. Respect retry_after_seconds on rate limits.
